This is my
latest work that I just finished off today. It is the 90MM Andrea German
fallschirmjager at Monte Cassino. The sculpt was very typical of pretty much
all Andrea figures, smooth uniform folds, strong character in the face but some
detail and accuracy is passed over such as the leather strapping and shape of
the fastening buckles and such but it does not take away from the overall
appearance of the figure which in my opinion is very high. He is painted as always
in Vallejo acrylics with Citadel paints for the metallics. The groundwork is a
resin prefab base that came with the kit along with added surface to accommodate
for the larger working surface of the base. This was accomplished using Magic
Sculp, scratch made bricks, wood from the parts box and some other do dads here
and there.

S&t Union Infantry...
This is my
latest and last figure before the APG show this weekend in Fredericksburg, VA.
I thought I'd go with at least 1 piece in the civil war theme which I am
becoming more interested in as of late. He is 1/16 scale and I changed up my
usual Vallejo media and used the Andrea blue paint set for the jacket, kepi and
trousers as I was never satisfied with any of my previous endeavors into dark
or light blue. He was a little tough to photograph because he really is
sculpted in an awkward position but he shows a good deal of motion which I
like.
