Here is my
latest commission piece I call "Blondie" from the movie "The
Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Clint of course being "The Good" portion
of that title. He is an Art Girona 75MM piece and he is cast in white metal.
Very nice kit but I'm not to used to painting white metal kits anymore. He is
painted in Vallejo Acrylics as always with Citadel paints for the metalics.
This was far out of my realm but I thoroughly enjoyed making the project come
to life. I decided to try some different techniques to achieve a believable
look to his denim trousers as I wanted that worn blue jean look and I was
pretty happy with the outcome.

Young Miniatures Waffen SS MG42 Gunner x 2...
Here is my
latest commission work of a bust I had been commissioned to paint before so
this is my second interpretation of him. He is an absolutely fantastically
sculpted and engineered kit and was a pleasure to paint again. I changed the
flesh tones a bit this go around for a slightly warmer look. I also changed the
look of the coat lining as well per the clients permission as he wanted it
basically the same as my previous work. As usual he is painted in Vallejo
acrylics and I used Citadel acrylics for the metallics.

Belleau Wood...
Here is my
latest commission work entitled "Belleau Wood". It depicts a US 5th
Marine in this famous WWI battle that took place in June of 1918. The figure
itself is a 120MM Michael Roberts offering and is a little bit long in the
tooth if you know what I mean. It is a clean sculpt and casting but it's detail
is not quite up to today's standards but in the end it is quite an acceptable
depiction of a US Marine of this era. The damaged tree stump is a resin piece
from the kit and the abandoned German Maxim gun is from New Order Model
Designs. I don't do much WWI stuff but I liked this figure from the moment it
was proposed to me. As always it is finished in Vallejo Acrylics and the
groundwork is a mix of DAS air dry modelling clay, Vallejo acrylic over sprays,
MIG pigments and Joefix foliage.

In The News...
Here is my
latest commission work which I have entitled "In The News". It's
based off of a famous picture of an 82nd Airborne trooper reading the newspaper
on a window sill of a damaged building shortly after the "D Day"
drops into France. He is a 70MM offering from Historic Art Miniatures and is
all around a fantastic kit. I've added the damaged curtain section as well as
the damaged pane of glass the window molding and the sign. He is painted as
always in Vallejo Acrylics and was really an enjoyable project for me.

Run...
This is my
latest commission work. It is the 120mm scale SS MG42 Gunner by Jeff Shiu's
Miniatures. The figure has a really nice action pose which you don't see too
much of in large scale figures but I think it looks very good and anatomically
it is believable. As always it is painted in Vallejo Acrylics.
