S&t Wwii Marine...

This is my latest work. It is the 1/16th scale Marine from S&T. Now let me just say I suspect that this was a recast. I bought this figure off of e-bay about 3 years ago so I really did not know how to discern recasts from originals by listings at that time and I did not pay attention to the fine print. When I received the figure it had the usual picture of the figure on the box but it was of poor quality. The box was also not a white box so already the red flags went up. As I opened it up the color of the resin was spot on, however it was very glossy in texture and was pretty much horrible all the way around. This is the first figure that actually took me longer to prep then to paint so you can imagine how terrible it was. I contacted the seller way back when but after about 4 e-mails of denial I just gave up and shelved the figure. Anyway I got the urge to torture myself and get this guy done as his pose was always one of my favorites from S&T. Enough rambling, he as usual is painted in Vallejo acrylics with Citadel paints for the metallics.

Andrea 90MM German sniper...

Here is my latest work. It is the 90MM offering from Andrea Miniatures. The figure was cast in white metal and the base with the wall section was resin. Nice kit overall and a good opportunity to really dirty this guy up giving the environment he is in and his light colored winter camo. He could fit into many different campaigns such as BOB on the western front to Cherkassy, battles around Kharkov and even Stalingrad in the east. He is as usual painted in Vallejo acrylics with Citadel paints for the metallics.

PMC Miniatures French Goumier...

Hi all. This will be the box art for an upcoming release from PMC Miniatures. It is a resin cast 1/16th scale bust of a French Goumier, 17th Tabor, Italian campaign 1943-45. Nice clean sculpt and definitely something off the beaten path as far as WWII goes. As usual he is painted in Vallejo Acrylics and Citadel paints for the metallics.

Waffen SS Grenadier by P J Designs...

Here is my latest commission work. It is the 1/12th scale Waffen SS Grenadier from the now defunct PJ Designs. This is the 3rd time I've tackled this figure and he just never gets old. He's holding a G43 and as far as I'm concerned I think his body language is the best I've ever seen as far as realism in a sculpt. His equipment, proportions and facial details are as well first rate. He, as always, is done in Vallejo Acrylics with citadel paints for the metallics.

Operation Overlord...

This is my latest commission work which will be called "Operation Overlord" per the client. He is the Mirage 200MM d-day paratrooper with full kit. This figure has been around for a while but is now out of production. Another board member was kind enough to sell it to me a few months back as I was commissioned to hunt one down and paint it. I had seen this figure a few times at shows and in pictures but for some reason I never really liked it. Once I got the kit in my hands though that all changed. He really is a stupendous sculpt and a very well engineered kit. Great, great, great! He is so nice I'm actually having trouble parting with him but I know he is going to a good home. Any who, enough of waxing poetically about this figure as I think you get what I mean. He is as usual painted in Vallejo Acrylics with Citadel paints for the metallics. There are 3 massive slabs of resin that come with this kit that make up a base with a section of a damaged wall which per the client was not used and instead a wooden farm fence was scratch built with some signage to establish the setting. Grass was some mossy type of material that I had lying around that scaled out pretty good to a 1/9th scale figure.
