This is my
latest work. This is a combined effort between myself and Dan Morton. Dan did a
major conversion on this bust which consisted on quite a bit of re-sculpting
and reshaping. It depicts a machine gunner of the 10th Bavarian regt. circa
1915 eastern front. Dan sought me out and asked if I would like to paint it for
him so I agreed. I've also included some pics of what it looked like in the raw
and finished. It is finished as usual in Vallejo acrylics.

The Bloody Solomons...
Here is my
latest commission work. I have painted this one before for a customer and
really did not want to do it again but I was asked to do him in full camo so I
thought it would be fairly interesting. He is another great Rosengrant sculpt
and is from New World Miniatures. Overall it is a great sculpt and is painted
as usual in Vallejo acrylics with the exception of the metallics being from
Citadel. Ground work is silfor matting, PE palm fronds and MIG pigments. Oh,
BTW it is 1/16th scale.

101st airborne "The Filthy 13"
Here is my
latest work. It is the OOP Warriors 1/9th scale offering by John Rosengrant of
a 101st airborne paratrooper complete with Mohawk and war paint. After some
help from the guys on the net and some research of my own I learned that these
guys became known as part of "The Filthy 13" as 13 members of the 101st
sported this look on the D-Day landings. I later learned there were actually 15
of these bad looking hombres but due to some side story they became known as
the 13. I really had issue with incorporating the war paint as I felt and still
feel to some extent that it takes away from the facial details which are very
good on this figure. I decided to do it for 2 reasons, historical accuracy and
basically because I had never done something like this before so it was
different. I'd like some opinions from you guys on my decision even though I
cannot change it now. Like I said I'm still half hearted about the decision to
incorporate it. As always it is done on Vallejo acrylics and all hand brushed.

The Chosin Few...
Here is my
latest painting exercise. I've always had some trouble with odd type colors so
this was a good painting exercise for me. This is from S&T and it's a 1/16
scale depiction of US Marines in the savage fighting at the Chosin Reservoir in
Korea 1950 circa. This was as usual done in all Vallejo acrylics as usual.

1/16 scale LAH Tiger with crew...
Well guy's
I've been on this one for quite some time now and it is very near to
completion. The Tiger I is the Tamiya 1/16 static kit with Aber add ons and
some other details here and there. It is depicted as an LAH Tiger with LAH SS grenadiers
along with a full crew. The grenadiers and part of the crew is from S&T and
the balance is a mix of Verlinden and Alpine. The medic is a conversion from
Minuteman Models and Warriors. One thing of note is I'm not sure if the LAH
call sign numbers would have been red, all the reference I had showed them in
black or white over an exposed undercoat of panzer grey. My client wanted them
in red so it is a bit fudged I think but no biggie IMO. Sorry for the pics but
because of its size it was very hard to photograph properly. Cheers in advance!
